1. Introduction & Application
FT-YJS-058A Auto Cleaning Type Insulating Oil Dielectric loss and resistivity tester, is designed and manufactured based on GB/T5654-2007 of (Liquid insulating material of relative permittivity, dielectric loss factor and DC resistivity measurements). It is used for measuring dielectric dissipation factor and DC resistivity of insulating oil and other insulating liquids.
This Oil Tan Delta Test kit is characterized by integrated structure, and integrates test cell, temperature controller, temperature sensor, dielectric loss test bridge, AC test power, standard capacitor, high resistance meter, DC high voltage source and other major components. The transformer oil tan delta test set adopts full digital technology and all of the intelligent automatic measurement, is equipped with large color screen LCD display, whose each step has prompted the English, the test results can be automatically stored and printed output, so that the operator without professional training will be able to use it proficiently.
2. Why Test Oil Dielectric Loss at High Temperature?
High temperature Tan Delta tests are more sensitive to small changes that occur in oil characteristics. Some ionic contaminants may not be detectable at 25°C but are revealed in the 100°C test. Measuring Tan Delta or Resistivity at two temperatures, e.g., ambient and 90 °C (IEC 60247), as opposed to just one temperature, may provide additional, useful information. For example, obtaining a high Tan Delta test result at ambient and an acceptable Tan Delta test result at a high temperature typically indicates the presence of moisture, since the moisture will evaporate at higher temperatures. Conversely, a high Tan Delta test result at both temperatures (or at higher temperatures only) is often attributed to the presence of contaminants.
