Reasons for the large noise caused by the gear pump in the vacuum oil filter

1. The suction line or filter in front of the gear pump is partially blocked

At this time, it can be seen from the oil pipe that there is very little oil sucked in. Insufficient oil absorption will cause dry grinding and cavitation, and make loud noises. At this moment, you should find the blockage point, remove the dirt, and make the oil suction unblocked.

2. The suction pipe in front of the gear pump sucks in air

At this time, bubbles can be seen in the oil suction pipe, and bubbles can also be seen in the discharged oil. The gear pump will produce cavitation noise after inhaling air. The key discharge parts are the various valves in front of the pump, the oil inlet flange sealing ring of the pump, and the self-tightening skeleton oil seal of the pump, which should be removed quickly after searching.

3. The flow area of the oil inlet filter is too small

The use of physical vapor deposition (PVD) to coat a thin layer of wear-resistant materials can greatly improve the performance of high-speed steel tools. The general coating materials are TiN, TiC, etc. However, after using TiN coating, the surface of the tool is golden yellow. The coated high-speed steel tool has a hard layer on the surface, good wear resistance, and a small coefficient of friction with the processed material; the toughness of the base material does not decrease.

The actual situation shows that compared with uncoated high-speed steel tools, the cutting force of the coated high-speed steel tools can be reduced by 5-10%. Due to the thermal barrier effect of the layer material, the cutting degree of the cutting part of the tool substrate is also somewhat different. Reduced; the workpiece has been machined surface roughness reduced; tool users should consider whether the selection of the oil inlet filter is appropriate. If the flow area of the oil inlet filter is too small, it will also cause insufficient oil intake, causing dry grinding and cavitation. Make a louder noise. The solution is to replace a filter with a comparable flow area.

4. The speed of the pump is too high

Each gear pump has a recommended operating speed. If you want to increase the flow rate by increasing the speed, the gear tooth meshing vibration will be accelerated, and the oil suction of the pump will appear insufficient, which will cause the pump noise to increase sharply. In this case, the speed should be reduced in time.

5. The pump shaft is not concentric with the motor shaft

Gear pumps require the use of shaft sleeves or elastic shaft joint transmission methods. If the two shafts are not concentric, the vibration in the transmission will increase, and the gear pump will be subject to alternating loads and the noise will be large, so it should be reassembled. Keep it concentric.
