According to customs statistics, as of October 13th, since its launch in 2013, the freight volume of China-Europe freight trains entering and leaving the Erenhot port under the supervision of Hohhot Customs has exceeded 20 million tons, reaching 20.546 million tons, with nearly 21,000 trains operating. In the first three quarters of 2025, Erenhot's China-Europe freight trains handled approximately 331,000 TEUs and 3.3 million tons of cargo, representing year-on-year increases of approximately 10.7% and 17.9%, respectively. The range of goods exported by the China-Europe freight trains has continued to expand, with high-value-added goods such as domestically produced automobiles, machinery and equipment, and electronic appliances accounting for over 40% of the total.

The Erlianhot Port currently has 74 operating routes, with its coverage extending to more than 10 countries in Asia and Europe and more than 140 domestic and foreign cities or stations.
