GC-2010SD Transformer Oil DGA (Dissolved Gases) Analyzer for 7 & 9 Gases

Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) is a critical diagnostic technique used to monitor the health of oil-immersed electrical equipment (e.g., transformers, bushings, tap changers, and circuit breakers). The system detects, quantifies, and interprets trace gases dissolved in the insulating oil, as the breakdown of oil or solid insulation under abnormal conditions (e.g., overheating, partial discharge, arcing) produces characteristic gas byproducts. DGA systems are categorized by the number of gases they measure-7-gas and 9-gas configurations are the most common, with the latter offering expanded coverage for more precise fault diagnosis.

 

Regardless of gas count, modern DGA systems share core hardware/software components:

1. Sampling Unit; 2. Gas Extraction Module; 3. Detection System. 4. Data Processing & Software.

 

DGA interpretation is governed by international standards to ensure consistency:

IEC 60599: "Mineral oils in electrical equipment – Dissolved gas analysis (DGA) – Guidance on the interpretation of results."

IEEE C57.104: "Guide for the Interpretation of Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) in Mineral Oil-Immersed Transformers."
